Archived: SCSU Enrolls Most Students In MnSCU School System

St. Cloud State University continues to be the largest university in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system and the second largest public university in the state.

The University Provost’s office reports 16,245 students are enrolled fall semester at school. This is the third straight year of declining enrollment since an all-time high of 18,319 students were enrolled in 2010. The decrease is one point three percent from last fall. The number of graduate students has also declined for the third straight year.

1,604 enrolled this fall, compared to 1,906 in the fall of 2010. The university is also home to 1,025 international students. The countries that have the most students enrolled are Saudi Arabia with 19 percent, China with 16 percent and Nepal with 9 percent. According to the Provost Office,

SCSU’s decline was by design as the university is focused on enrolling students who are prepared, engaged and ready to succeed.

No MnSCSU school had an increase in enrollment this year.
