Archived: SCSU Outdoor Endeavors Asks People To Be Aware Of Cautious Water Conditions

The warming temperatures have led to swellings of our local rivers and streams. It also means people want to hit the water. Although the temperatures are comfortable, SCSU Outdoor Endeavors Ivan Bartha advises everyone to be careful on the waters, so your first time out this spring, is not your last.

The optimal mix for water travel should exceed 120 degrees when you combine water and air temperatures. Anything less could result in hypothermia.
