Archived: SCSU Student Honored With 2013 Newman Civic Fellow

Campus Compact has honored an SCSU student as a 2013 Newman Civic Fellow.

SCSU President Earl H. Potter the Third nominated Njeri Clement, who is a Graduate Student in the Social Responsibility master’s degree program. She was nominated for her advocacy and support for social issues locally and globally and her unique creativity and passion for activities that promote awareness and effect change.

181 student leaders were nominated by their college and universities presidents by showing they are making the most of their college experiences to better understand themselves, the root causes of social issues and effective mechanisms for creating lasting change.

Campus Compact President Maureen Curley says that these students represent the next generation of public problem solvers and civic leaders.
