The SCSU student body has spoken and has elected Lindsey Gunnerson as the new Student Government president and Alex Bryson as the new Vice President for the upcoming academic year.

967 students casted their vote in this year’s student government presidential election. Gunnerson and Bryson defeated the duo of Dustin Johnson and Brian Kunz (Koonz) by receiving 533 total votes counting for 55% of the total ballots. Johnson and Kunz received 370 votes counting for 38% of the ballot. 7% of the ballots voted for neither.

Students also voted on whether to favor or oppose the proposed amendments to the Student Constitution. Of 868 votes 682 voted to favor the proposed amendments which counts for 79% of the ballots casted.
