Archived: SCSU To Host Annual MLK Breakfast Event

St. Cloud State University will be hosting an annual breakfast and remembrance celebration honoring the life, legacy, and ideals of Martin Luther King, Jr.

The MLK Breakfast Event and Day of Service will feature keynote speakers Vernon Jordan, an elder statesman of the civil rights movement, and Yolanda Adams, a Grammy Award winning singer, being simulcast from the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Following the speakers, a panel of community members will reflect and discuss current issues facing the St. Cloud area. In addition, the event will play host to local musicians, artists, and interfaith leaders.

The MLK Breakfast Event and Day of Service is free and open to the public. Doors to event open at 7 a.m. with the keynote simulcast starting around 8 a.m. The event will be held on January 19, in the SCSU’s Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom.
