Semi Driver Avoids Hitting Wheelchairs - Causes Crash

A semi caused an crash after stopping suddenly to avoid hitting two people in wheelchairs. Shortly before 11:00 Friday morning, St. Cloud Police Officers responded to this crash at University Drive and 5th Avenue South. Police say 77-year-old Arthur Altrichter of Clear Lake, the driver of the semi, caused a mini-van driven by 75 year old Bonnie Schuldt of Sartell to rear-end the semi. Schuldt and her passenger, 76-year-old Ronald Arthur Schuldt also from Sartell,were taken to the Saint Cloud Hospital with minor injuries.
