Archived: Snow Arrives In St. Cloud Sooner Than Forecasted

The snow came earlier than expected.

Bob Weisman, St. Cloud State University Meteorology Professor, says the snow will spread and drift south as the day goes on. The good news is the air looks to be warm enough to create less ice than originally forecasted.

Weisman says the heavy amounts of snow will last into early evening around the areas of St. Cloud, northward to Brainerd and eastward to Milaca. Total accumulation is expected to be 6 to 10 inches.

Drive cautious and expect low visibility.
