Snow Expected To Continue Into Tuesday
03/04/2013 - 10:40 AM
The St. Cloud area is still on track to get another four to eight inches of snow by tomorrow [Tuesday] morning.
According to SCSU Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman, the snow will come in two waves. One will last until about Noon today [Monday] and then the next starting later tonight and into tomorrow morning. There will be a break this afternoon of snow but when snow returns it will be fluffy, so snow covered roads will become slippery.
Wind speeds will pick up at the end of the storm, causing gusts of winds of 10-20 miles per hour, which could cause snow blowing and drifting snow problems in open areas.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Warning and a Hazardous Weather Outlook for areas including St. Cloud.
