Archived: Snow Totals In St. Cloud Area–Vary from 7-10 Inches

This winter’s latest storm left a lot of snow, but no records were made.

St. Cloud State University Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman says the snow total at the St. Cloud Prison was 7.4 inches, just short of the daily record snowfall of 8.8 inches.

Weisman says there was 6 to 10 inches of snow in the area, led by Ogilvie’s 10 inches and 9.5 inches in Collegeville. The Twin Cities received less than 2.9 inches of snow.

Weisman also says that Highway 23 is where the heaviest of the snow fell.

The St. Cloud Police would like the public to know even though it is 30 degrees the roads are not in good condition. The police department is asking the public to slow down and be very cautious at intersections.
