Special Olympics Minnesota is starting an active program in St. Joseph for children ages two to seven years old starting in October. The program called Young Athletes is for children with and without intellectual disabilities to come together for an hour-long play time.
Children can have fun working on their hand eye coordination and other basic motor skills. Another goal of Young Athletes is to introduce families with children that have intellectual disabilities into the Special Olympics network.
The Young Athletes class is every Monday starting October 1st through November 12th at 5:45 to 6:46 p.m. at the College of Saint Benedict inside Haehn Campus Center, Alumnae Hall at 37 South College Avenue.
Directions and Parking instructions can be found here.
