St. Cloud Area School District 742 is hosting a series of open houses tonight.

Director of Communication Tami DeLand says open houses help students and families to get to know their schools, teachers and principals.

Current students will automatically be placed on the class roster of their designated school for sixth grade. Students are enrolled in different schools depending on where they reside. Language immersion students are placed in classes based on their program’s host school.

District 742 welcomes all students regardless of being residents or not. Those who are transferring from a private, charter, home, online or public schools will need to complete the necessary enrollment process.

The open houses will take place at Kennedy Community School, North and South Junior High Schools from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Those who cannot attend the events are welcome to schedule a customized tour through the schools.
