St. Cloud Fire Department Will Fill Their Boots For Muscular Dystrophy
10/09/2012 - 12:40 PM

The St. Cloud Fire Department and the Muscular Dystrophy Association will hold their annual Fill the Boot event Oct. 11 and 12. St. Cloud firefighters will be volunteering their time at local intersections in town to fill their boots with donations from passing motorists.
According to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the money earned will stay in the community to help local children and adults with muscular dystrophy. The money will help buy health care services like wheelchairs and leg brace repair, medical care, and support groups. The 58 year tradition takes place at intersections across the nation.
Last year, St. Cloud firefighters raised $8,665 dollars which was a part of the $256,000 dollars that Minnesota firefighters earned.
