One man is in custody after police responded to an assault early Wednesday morning.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to the Le St. Germain Hotel in downtown St. Cloud at about 2 a.m. to respond to an assault.

Police found a 34-year-old man with injuries to his jaw. He was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital to be treated.

Sergeant Burke says police arrested 25-year-old Adan Ibrahim Abdllahi with 3rd degree assault charges, interference with a 9-1-1 call, and property damage.

Abdllahi is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail.
