A man has been arrested after police suspect he was driving while intoxicated.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies were called to County Road 154 and Pelican Lake Road in Avon Township west of St. Anna just before 6 p.m. on Saturday.

They found the driver of a motorcycle, 30-year-old Joshua Richter of St. Cloud, had left the roadway and crashed.

Richter was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office says they believe alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Richter was arrested after he refused a DWI test.

Richter is currently facing 1st degree DWI charges and is being held at the Stearns County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
