Archived: St. Cloud Police Arrest Grand Rapids Man In Connection To Burglary And Assault

A man is in custody after he allegedly entered a home and assaulted another man.

St. Cloud Police Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says police responded to a call in the 1000 block of 36th Avenue North around 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Oxton says the victim had told police he was assaulted for several hours in his home after someone had entered it through an unlocked door. The victim was able to escape and called police from his neighbor’s house.

Police searched the house and found 21-year-old Corey William Becker of Grand Rapids still in the victim’s home. He was arrested in connection with this case and is currently being held at the Stearns County Jail.

The victim was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for his injuries.

The burglary is still under investigation.
