St. Cloud Police Talk Suicidal Person Off Of University Bridge

The University Bridge was closed for over an hour early Saturday morning while police negotiated with a suicidal person. A 21-year-old St. Cloud resident was reportedly straddling the railing of the bridge.
St. Cloud Police were able to talk the victim off of the railing and then had to restrain the victim to prevent the victim from causing harm to themselves.
St. Cloud Police were assisted by the St. Cloud Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol, and Gold Cross Ambulance.
