St. Cloud State University is being honored this month for the university’s internationalization efforts.

The American Association of State Colleges and Universities has awarded St. Cloud State with the inaugural International Education Award. The AASCU notes the award is given to programs that excelled in integrating international students into campus life as well as encouraged underrepresented groups on campus to study internationally.

SCSU has more than 35 active study abroad options and is looking to double the number of students studying abroad by 2019 as a part of the Institute of the International Education’s Generation Study Abroad Initiative.
