Archived: St. Cloud State University Partners With State Farm to Present Traffic Safety Day

According to the St. Cloud Times Highway 23 accidents in the last 16 months have caused five deaths and nine life threatening injuries.

The public is encouraged to visit the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center on Traffic Safety Day.

St. Cloud State’s University Communications office says the school is partnering up with State Farm and Toward Zero Deaths to demonstrate crash-reduction efforts, emergency-response services, and driving-skills classes.

You can join in on the activities at the Highway and Safety Center, located at 1805 Highway 10 on Saturday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Also included is a chance to participate in skid-car training and discounted Teen Advanced Driving Skills classes. Call (320)-255-3123 to register for the skills class.

There is a fee for the class.
