Archived: St. Cloud State University Partners With Universidad In Medical Tech Education

St. Cloud State University has signed a new partnership with Universidad for Medical Education.

According to Multimedia Content Producer Anna Kurth, the new partnership in this field is with Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior (CETYS) University in Mexico. The program is part of the universities medical technology graduate offerings, which includes programs in regulatory affairs and services and applied clinical research.

Starting this fall CETYS University students getting their Medical Manufacturing Masters in Engineering and Innovation will be taking SCSU’s medical technology quality courses synchronously with students in Plymouth, Minnesota. Students at both school work in global medical device companies. 

The program has been offered at the SCSU since 2012 and partnerships like this have been supported since 2015.

Interim President Ashish Vaidya says the partnership will continue to strengthen the school’s ties with Mexico, which is Minnesota’s second-largest export market and the world’s 15th largest economy.

CETYS University is private, multi-campus, non-profit system located in three major cities along the Baja California Mexican border with California and plays a leadership role in engineering education in this part of the country.
