The unemployment rate in the St. Cloud area fell for the third month in a row, and is the lowest it has been since December of 2008. The rate for September was 6.9%, down from 7.4% in August. The June unemployment rate was 8.3%, making for an impressive three month drop of 1.4%.

But there’s still work to be done. The St. Cloud area’s current unemployment rate of 6.9% is still 1.2% higher than it was one year ago.
