St. Cloud Woman Arrested After Crashing Vehicle Into Building

A woman was arrested Sunday night after crashing into an apartment building.
Around 9 p.m. on Sunday night, the St. Cloud Police Department were called to the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North were 18-year-old Violet Faye Hopkins of St. Cloud took a corner too fast, lost control of her vehicle and struck an exterior wall of an apartment building.
According to the police report, Hopkins fled the scene after the crash, but was later found during the investigation.
The Red Cross provided shelter to six families that were removed from the building due to safety concerns.
No one was injured during the crash and Kopkins was cited and released for reckless driving, hit and run accident, and no valid driver’s license.
