Early Tuesday morning, the St. Joseph Fire Department and the Stearns County Sheriff’s office were called to a house fire. The house fire was about two miles north of St. Joseph at 32926 Watab Drive. The St. Stephen Fire Department and Gold Cross ambulance also responded to assist the St. Joe Fire Department.

The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen area of the home. Two occupants were in the house at the time of the fire. The occupants and their dogs escaped the fire without injuries. The fire is still under investigation.
