Thousands Of Turkeys Killed In St. Martin Barn Fire

A fire in St. Martin charred and damaged a St. Martin Farm Incorporated turkey barn Thursday morning.
Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson says after 1 a.m. fire crews were called to the fully engulfed barn, owned by 36-year-old Jessica Westbrook of Holdingford. The 1,000 foot barn is divided into sections, the east section being a total loss, and the rest having minimal damage.
Roughly 6,000 turkeys died as a result of the fire, the incident is still under investigation.
