Stearns County braces for potential H1N1 Outbreak

There’s been a lot of talk nationwide about bracing for a potential H1N1 influenza outbreak. And now Stearns County is looking to bring that conversation to Central Minnesota. Public Health Officials will hold a series of meetings over the next couple weeks to begin preparing and planning for a possible outbreak. Those who attend the meetings will also learn more about the H1N1 strain.
The sessions are targeted at specific groups. A meeting for faith communities takes place Friday, August 14th from 10:00-11:30. The media have a meeting from 3:00-4:30 on Monday, August 17th. Businesses on Monday, August 24th from 2:00-3:00. And schools and universities on Tuesday, August 25th from 2:00-3:30. All meetings will be held in Room 499 of the Stearns County Administration Center at Courthouse Square in downtown St. Cloud.
