Archived: Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste Truck In St. Stephen On Saturday

The Stearns County Household Hazardous Waste Truck will be in St. Stephen this Saturday, August 25th. The truck has been travelling to cities around Stearns County over the summer collecting hazardous products homeowners no longer want or need.

This is a chance for people to get rid of all the unsafe or nuisance products lying around the house, this includes: paints, cleaners, poisons, ag pesticides, roofing tar, fuels, automotive chemicals, sealers, garden chemicals, pool chemicals, flourescent bulbs, adhesives, aerosols, solvents, mothballs, mercury and  ink cartridges. Products can be disposed of at no charge.

Items that cannot be accepted are used motor oil, antifreeze, explosives, furniture, household garbage, tires, medical waste, appliances or any other unknown products.  Also not accepted is business waste.

The truck will be at the St. Stephen City Fire Hall from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  For those who cannot make this scheduled collection time, the Tri-County Household Waste Facility accepts products year round.
