Stearns County Sheriff's Office Is Investigating A Gas Station Robbery

The sheriff’s office are looking for a fluorescent green/yellow hooded sweatshirt that was thrown from the getaway vehicle somewhere south of Albany.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man believed to be involved in the robbery of a Quality Plus gas station in Meire Grove. 21-year-old Matthew Paul Dehncke of Paynseville was arrested on Wednesday for aiding and abetting a robbery. The sheriff’s office also identified the vehicle used in the getaway, but are still looking for another man involved in the robbery. They believe he has fled the state.
According to the police report, the suspect entered the Quality Plus gas station around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. He demanded cash without displaying a gun or threatening the clerk. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The sheriff’s office is also looking for a fluorescent green/yellow hooded sweatshirt that was thrown from the getaway vehicle somewhere south of Albany. The sweatshirt was believed to be worn by the robber. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in locating the sweatshirt, anyone with information can contact them at 251-4240.
