Stearns County’s Mississippi River Park will play host to the annual “Take a Day Off” event on the Mississippi River.

“Take a Day Off” is designed to provide people with the opportunity to explore nature and other outdoor recreational activities the Mississippi River and surrounding areas provide.

The day’s events include canoeing, fishing, paddle sports, geocaching, and nature hikes.

“Take a Day Off” is sponsored by the Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District, Stearns County Parks, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Tips Outdoor.

“Take a Day Off” will take place this Saturday at the Mississippi River Park north of Sartell. The event will start at 10 a.m. and last until 4.
