Stearns History Museum Names Interim Executive Director

Atkins has over 30 years of teaching and writing Minnesota history.
The Stearns History Museum and Research Center has named Annette Atkins as its interim Executive Director. Atkins takes over for former Executive Director Charlene Akers who left the museum in September.
Atkins is a History and Humanities professor at the College of Saint Benedict and St. John’s University. She has over 30 years of teaching and writing Minnesota history. Atkins has done work with the Minnesota Historical Society. In Fall 2007 Atkins published a Minnesota history book Creating Minnesota.
The museum is expected to name a permanent Executive Director in spring 2013.
