Archived: Task Force Arrests Six After Search Warrants

The Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force conducted three search warrants on the morning of November 21. According to Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner stolen property, guns and methamphetamine were recovered from the three homes.

One of the warrants was conducted at 13 Arbor Street, Bel Clare Acres in Waite Park. 32-year-old Jason Carson and 30-year-old Jacqueline Sanquist were arrested on charges of possession of stolen property, burglary, and being felons in possession of a firearm. Sanner reports that 19 guns and stolen property were found at the residence.

The second search was at 52 Joymar Drive, Bel Clare Acres in Waite Park. The investigators reportedly recovered more stolen property and over 25 grams of methamphetamine. Police arrested 57-year-old Michael Grandner and 59-year-old Jay Sanquist. Grandner on charges of possession of a fifth degree controlled substance. Sanquist was taken to the Stearns County Jail on charges of first degree possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property.

The third search warrant was conducted at 303 12 Avenue North in St. Cloud where the task force allegedly found four additional stolen guns and almost three more grams of methamphetamine. The police arrested 32-year-old Justin Jerome and 32-year-old Lucas Brugger. Brugger was found to have an outstanding warrant and was also charged with possessing a fifth degree controlled substance. Jerome was arrested on charges of receiving stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing and additional stolen property and weapons may be located, along with additional arrests.
