Archived: Three Men Arrested After Gun Complaint

On Friday night the Waite Park Police Department were called to the area of 2nd Avenue and 2nd Street South in Waite Park for a gun complaint.

According to the police report, the victim said that as a result of a verbal argument with two male suspects, one of the suspects pointed a sawed-off shotgun at the victim. There were no shots fired and the two black men fled the scene on foot.

According to police, A K9 unit tracked the suspects to an apartment building at 311 Park Meadows Drive and a perimeter was set up around the building. A man was seen leaving the building and was detained by police. He told police that the suspects might be located in one of the apartments and officers were able to find the suspects inside that apartment.

The suspects were identified as 19-year-old Antonio Deondre Robinson and 25-year-old Malikah Jeramiyah Jackson both of Waite Park. Both men are being held on Assault 2 charges. The weapon used in the assault was recovered and no injuries were reported.

22-year-old Gregory Wimberly Junior was also seen leaving the 311 building and was detained by officers.  Wimberly was armed with a handgun and was taken into custody on charges of felony possession of a firearm.  Wimberly was not involved with the original assault incident.  

The St. Cloud Police Department, the Sauk Rapids Police Department, the St. Joseph Police Department and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office all assisted in this investigation.
