The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received a call yesterday afternoon about a tractor accident on a farm near Freeport.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says 45-year-old Tom Herdering and his 13-year-old son Kurt Herdering from Melrose, were driving a tractor when it started to roll backwards causing both of them to fall off.

Sanner adds the teenager was conscious and alert when he was taken by ambulance to the Albany Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
