Archived: Traffic Stop South Of Rice Leads To Drug Arrest

One woman is in jail after she gave a fake name to deputies after a drug stop.

Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday a deputy pulled over 55-year-old Jason Wolf of Royalton. Wolf admitted to not having a valid driver’s license, while his passenger 26-year-old Kendra Ann Englehart said she owned the car. Englehart, when talking to the deputy used her sister’s name rather than her own. The deputy noticed a strong smell of perfume and a small butane torch and called the K-9 unit to inspect the car.

During the wait for the K-9, Englehart admitted to having drug paraphernalia in the car. After a vehicle search deputies found two scales, several grams of suspected marijuana, several grams of suspected methamphetamine, and a pair of metal knuckles with a blade attached.

Heck says Wolf was cited for driving without a license. Englehart was arrested on charges of 5th degree controlled substance, possession of a dangerous weapon and giving a false name to a peace officer. She is currently being held in Benton County Jail.
