Two Arrested After Gunshot Complaint

On Thursday afternoon, St. Cloud Police were called to the 400 block of 31st Avenue North for a gunshot complaint.
According to the police report, officers found evidence at the 400 block of 31st Avenue North and located the suspect vehicle at apartment building nearby. The vehicle was found to a have a hole in the floor and officers located a shotgun and additional ammunition in a snowbank in the vicinity of the vehicle.
The investigation lead to the arrest of 29-year-old Matthew Gorden Glen Geurts for felony possession of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm and 5th degree possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested, was 26-year-old Kara Elizabeth Petschen of St. Cloud for a Stearns County felony warrant and reckless discharge of a firearm.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
