Archived: Two Hospitalized After A Car Wheel Bearing Suspectedly Failed
A 19-year-old driver rolled into the ditch along Interstate 94 when she felt like a wheel bearing failed.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Katelynn Marie Mccomas of St. Cloud was heading west along I-94 Sunday just after 2 a.m.
It is suspected that the left rear bearing went out on her car, and Mccomas rolled into the ditch. The car came to a stop on its roof on top of the interstate fence.
Mccomas and her passenger, 49-year-old Terry Edward Schmidt of Watertown, were taken to the St. Cloud Hospital. Both were wearing their seatbelts suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The accident happened at milepost 185 in Wright County.
