Two Out Of State Men Arrested For First Degree Burglary

St. Cloud Police were called to the 300 block of 17th Avenue north for reports of a fight around 9 p.m. on Friday. When police arrived they found that a 21-year-old man from Iowa and an 18-year-old man from California had knocked on the door of a 29-year-old St. Cloud man’s home allegedly trying to sell him magazines. When the man refused to buy magazines and tried to close the door, the two salesmen reportedly kicked the door open and attacked the homeowner.
The suspects tried to flee the scene but were restrained until police arrived. The St. Cloud man received minor injuries that didn’t require medical attention. The salesmen are being held in the Stearns County Jail on 1st Degree burglary charges
