Archived: Two People Arrested For Stolen Car and False Names

A stolen car that was recovered in Langola Township Thursday ended in two arrests.

Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck says on April 19, at around 7:30 a.m. authorities were told about two people sleeping in a car on a road. After processing the license plate, authorities discovered the car was reported stolen to the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department. The two people were asked their names but instead gave false identities.

24-year-old Corina Marie Dudley of Bemidji and 31-year-old George Fineday III were arrested for possession of stolen property. A search of the car turned up credit cards and identification documents in the name of other people, drug paraphernalia and other stolen items.

Dudley and Fineday are currently being held at the Benton county jail on charges of possession of stolen property and providing a false name.
