Archived: Waite Park Police Investigating Bank Robbery

On Sunday morning Waite Park Police officers responded to a bank alarm at the MidCounty Bank located at 113 Waite Avenue South in Waite Park. According to the police report officers determined that the suspect confronted employees inside the branch and demanded cash. The employees complied with the demands and the suspect exited the bank. The employees were not injured and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white man about 35 to 45 years of age, about 6 feet tall and about 250 pounds. He was wearing either a light blue or gray shirt or shorts at the time. The suspect was seen leaving in an early 2000 silver or gray Ford Mustang.

The St. Cloud Police Department and the FBI assisted in the investigation. The St. Joseph Police Department assisted in the initial response.
