Archived: Winter Storm Forecasts Ice Then Snow

Old man winter isn’t done with St. Cloud yet.

According to St. Cloud State University Meteorology Professor Bob Weisman, St. Cloud will be hit in the overnight hours with a mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain.

On Tuesday morning there will be 4-8 inches of wet snow which will likely last through Tuesday evening.

Weisman says, Tuesday morning’s commute will be slow going due to a layer of ice underneath the snow. The worst of the conditions in the St. Cloud area will be in I-94 west of St Cloud and along Highway 23 and Highway 95 east of St. Cloud.
