Woman Arrested For Assault Kicks Officer

St. Cloud Police responded to an assault on Saturday at the 2600 block of Clearwater Road shortly after 12:30 in the afternoon. Police say 39-year-old Sharlean Laitinen of St. Cloud entered a home, stole several things, and left the residence. Laitinen was found and arrested. While being escorted to a squad car Laitinen kicked an officer in the leg. She was taken to the Stearns County Jail for burglary, assault, obstructing a legal process and theft.
