11/16/2009 - 10:30 AM
Saint Cloud State junior guard Talisha Barlow opened the season with a bang on Sunday as she scored a career high 31 points to lead the SCSU women’s basketball team to a 90-79 win over University of Wisconsin-Stout. The 31 points eclipsed Barlow’s previous career high of 28, which she had last season against Fort Lewis. The junior shot nine of 17 from the field and 12 of 14 from the free throw line in the foul-plagued game. Sophomore forward Aaryn Booker tallied 18 points and led the team with seven rebounds against the Blue Devils.
The Huskies are now 1-0 on the season and will take on Waldorf College at the Minnesota State Pepsi Tip-Off this coming Friday in Mankato.
