End of the College Hockey Season

After another exciting season of action the NCAA Division I college ice hockey season has come to a close. For the first time in Union College history the school is the NCAA DI Ice Hockey Champions. The end of the season also signals a winner in the KVSC Hockey Bracket Challenge. We'd like to congratulate cloudtown26 on the narrow victory! A look at the Top 10 can be seen below. The winner can send contact info to to claim their prize. Thanks to everyone for participating. 

The end of the season also crowned a new Hobey Baker Award winner. Last season, St. Cloud State won the schools first Hobey Baker with Drew LeBlanc. This season, Nic Dowd, a senior co-captain of the Huskies was one of the final three candidates for the award. It's the first time in SCSU history that the Huskies have consecutive Hat Trick finalists. Dowd along with Johnny Gaudreau from Boston College and Greg Carey of St. Lawrence University made up the 2014 Hobey Hat Trick. On Friday afternoon (April 11) the award winner was announced. Johnny Gaudreau was named the award recipient, it was his second straight appearance in the Hobey Hat Trick. Soon after winning the award, Gaudreau, a Boston College junior signed with the Calgary Flames of the NHL.
