Another St Cloud State baseball player will play professional baseball. Garrett Harrison, a left-handed pitcher who completed his junior season last May has signed a professional contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Harrison was pitching with the Green Bay Bullfrogs in the Northwoods League.

Harrison was 9-0 with a 2.13 ERA this season for the Huskies. There was thought that he would be drafted in June, but after slipping through the draft, the Dodgers offered him a signing bonus of $20,000 and offered to pay for his final year of tuition at SCSU.

The Champlin, Minnesota native reported to Phoenix, Arizona last week after signing his contract. He is now one of 31 players to go on to play professional baseball from SCSU. He is also the fourth player in the last two years under Pat Dolan to turn professional, joining; Mike Jurgella, Kyle Fischer and Sean Boreman.
