Husky Basketball Spilts

The SCSU Women's Basketball team used late heroics to earn a spilt on the weekend while the men saw their winning streak come to an end after this week's play.
After a defeat on Friday night to Southwest Minnesota State, the women rebounded with a 63-62 victory on Saturday. Talisha Barlow made a jumper with six seconds to go in regulation and the Huskies improved to 8-8 on the year, with a 3-6 mark in the conference.
The men beat SMSU on Friday to extend their winning streak to 10 games but were tripped up on Saturday as they fell to #4 Minnesota State-Mankato. Mankato shot over 50 percent from the field and made 7 of 15 from beyond the arc to drop Saint Cloud to 13-3 overall and 7-2 in the NSIC. Mankato remains perfect on the year at 16-0.
The men and women will remain on the road this week as they travel to the University of Mary on Friday and Northern State on Saturday.
