The St. Cloud State Husky football team was stunned on a last second touchdown at Northern State University on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies fell 28-27 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The loss drops St. Cloud State to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the NSIC North.

The Huskies trailed 21-7 heading into the fourth quarter but rallied for 20 unanswered points to take the lead with less than one minute remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Wolves earned the game winning score with a 34-yard hail mary as time expired in regulation. The extra point was the difference in sending the Huskys home disappointed.

Huskies quarterback Phil Klaphake connected on 29 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns. The Princeton, MN native also rushed for 84 yards and a pair of scores in the loss.

The Huskies are back home this weekend for a game against Bemidji State, which you can hear on KVSC.
