Husky Men's Hoops Sweep Weekend At Halenbeck

The SCSU men’s basketball team ran their winning streak to four games with a pair of wins this weekend at Halenbeck Hall. The Huskies took down Minnesota-Crookston 79-56 on Friday night, then defeated MSU-Moorhead 77-56 on Saturday.
On Friday night St Cloud State jumped out to a 13-2 lead over the Golden Eagles to start the game, and did not trail at any point in the evening during the 79-56 win. The Huskies were led by junior point guard Shaun Jensen’s 19 points and five assists, as well as junior Theo Rothstein’s double-double (15 points, ten rebounds).
Saturday night’s game with the Dragons was a back and forth affair until SCSU first-year forward Connor Niehaus’ three-pointer with just over eleven minutes left gave the Huskies a 50-42 lead to pull away from Moorhead. The Huskies got 21 points from sophomore Mike Rostampour, and 16 from Jensen in the 77-56 win.
The men’s hoops team is back on the floor Friday night at Wayne State (NE).
