Husky Pitcher Deminsky Drafted by Twins
06/09/2010 - 3:00 AM
The dream of being drafted by a major league team not only came true for Husky pitcher David Deminsky, but he was able to have his name called by his hometown team. The Minnesota Twins selected the senior pitcher in the 44th Round of the MLB Draft on Wednesday with the 1335th selection. Minnesota was one of a number of teams who had expressed interest in the left handed pitcher who just finished up a standout career at St. Cloud State. Deminsky was a leader for the Huskies in their record breaking 2010 season and finished with a personal 9-4 record and 107 strikeouts.
