Husky Softball To Host Minnesota Crookston On Wednesday At 2pm

The St. Cloud State softball team is currently on a 5 game losing streak coming into the double header this weekend against Minnesota Crookston. The Huskies are 19-17 overall (5-7 in NSIC) and are currently ranked 9^th in the NSIC in hits, doubles, and runs scored.

Minnesota Crookston enters the game with a 4-26 overall record and is still searching for an elusive first conference win (currently 0-12 in NSIC). The Golden Eagles are riding a 12 game losing streak and will also be looking for their first win on the road this year.

The Golden Eagles are a team that can really get some air under the ball. They are top ten in the conference in doubles, triples, and home runs in spite of the fact that they have fewer at bats than any NSIC team except MSU-Moorhead. However, they strike out more than any other team except Minnesota Duluth and Concordia-St. Paul.

First pitch from Selke Field is scheduled for 2pm on Wednesday with the second game of the double header beginning at 4pm.
