Imholte Signs with Brainerd of NWL

Another Husky will be showcasing his talents in the prestigious Northwoods League this summer as outfielder Phil Imholte has signed a temporary contract with the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers.
The Saint Cloud native will be a redshirt-junior for the Huskies next season and is coming off of his best year in a SCSU uniform. The speedy outfielder started 44 games and hit .333 with two home runs and 25 runs-batted-in. Imholte also had an astounding .481 on-base percentage, due in large part to him setting the school record for hit-by-pitches this year with 26.
The Lunkers’ season starts on Wednesday against the Alexandria Beetles. Another Husky, pitcher Shawn Riesgraf, plays for the Beetles. Imholte is one of eight SCSU players competing in the 16 team league this summer.
