The #6 St. Cloud State men's hockey team took a split with #5 University of Nebraska-Omaha over the weekend. On Friday freshman Robby Jackson had his second multi-goal game of the season, scoring two goals in the 4-1 win over the Mavericks. Senior Kallie Kossila had two assists and Charlie Lindgrin made 26 saves in the win. Unfortunately SCSU will be without the services of sophomore Judd Peterson who sustained an upper-body injury in the win and there is no time table for his return. Peterson has a team leading nine goals this season.

On Saturday the Huskies four-game winning streak was snapped, falling to the Mavericks by a score of 7-2. It was the most lopsided defeat for St Cloud this season. SCSU trailed 1-0 after the first period and after being down 4-1 in second period, the Huskies pulled Charlie Lindgrin in favor of Rasmus Reijola. Freshman Jimmy Schuldt and Robby Jackson scored the two goals for St. Cloud.

With the split St. Cloud State is 12-4 overall and 6-2 in NCHC play. Up next for SCSU is the University of Denver this weekend to close out their 2015 season.
