Mott Earns WCHA Rookie of the Week

After helping the St. Cloud State Women’s hockey team notch their first victory of the season last weekend, forward Molli Mott has been named the WCHA Rookie of the Week.
Mott scored the opening goal of the Huskies 2-0 victory on Friday over Minnesota State. Mott’s shorthanded goal was her fifth of the season, which tied her for the team lead. Her goal turned out to be the game winner, and broke a 31 game losing streak for the Huskies.
The Huskies are back in action with their final regular season series of the year at Minnesota Duluth this weekend. Puck drop is slated for 7:07 both Friday and Saturday. Follow us on Twitter for updates on these games.
